The student union of the University of Ibadan was suspended early this year as a result of the protest led by the then Student Union President Ojo Aderemi.
The suspension which followed a summary dismissal of students for about four weeks crippled the University Calendar in a very big way as not long after, ASUU also went on strike.
Now in a comment on Facebook, the Vice chancellor has addressed the issue of the Student Union, stressing the fact that he is not against it and it would be brought back when the time is ripe.
He made allusions to past student unions leaders who had fought for the welfare of the students without crippling the Univeristu .
