Beyonce's Delivery Had A Hitch, Children Under Intensive Care! (DETAILS)
It has been revealed that Beyonce and Jay Z's twins (boy and girl) are held back in the hospital due to some complications experienced during their birth.
It was discovered that The babies were born prematurely and are being treated for jaundice.
Both the twins and their mother have not left the hospital since arriving eight days ago; it was previously reported doctors had opted to keep them in for a ‘minor issue.’
The siblings will have spent most of their first days under ‘bili lights,’ phototherapy designed to eliminate high levels of bilirubin in the blood.
The twins were born on Monday in Los Angeles hospital and despite the "minor issue" the babies are expected to make a full recovery.
A source said : "We're told a "minor issue" surfaced, and as a result ... doctors do not feel comfortable releasing them. We do not know the nature of the issue. One source told us Beyonce also remains at the hospital, but as far as we know she's okay. The babies are expected to be okay as well.
"It's unclear when everyone will be released."
The Single Ladies star and entertainment icon, 35, and her 47-year-old rapper husband Jay Z's twins make the Carter's now a family of five alongside daughter Blue Ivy, 5.
“Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends,” a source revealed.
