Being a student is one of the most wonderful things in life, and can be the most terrible, especially when you’re broke. The time will come when you would need money to buy stuffs and the pocket money given to you is not enough or you can’t just tell your parents what it is you want to buy.
At this point, you’d probably be wishing you had money of your own and even a job. But you know you cannot get a job due to the hectic nature of school work. This is the point you start losing enthusiasm, you give up and resign yourself to the broke fate.
But what if I could tell you that I have compiled at least 42 ways to make extra money as a student without having a proper job and missing classes?
Check it out below:
Here are a few tips to making extra earnings as a student in Nigeria:
Steemit is a social news service which runs a blogging and social networking website on top of a blockchain database, known as Steem. The service produces STEEM and Steem Dollars which are tradeable tokens users obtain for posting, discovering, and commenting on interesting content.
In essence, it’s just like Facebook, Instagram or twitter where you post anything and people like your post. But in the case of Steemit, the likes that people give your post can be transferred to money and withdrawn into your account. Easy as pie.
What can you post on Steemit?
You can post anything on Steemit as long as it is not plagiarized content. This means that it must not be something that you copied or stole from someone else and post it on the site. Steemit will block you faster than you can say “Black Soap”. So everything you post on Steemit must be something gotten directly from your head.
NOTE: If you have written something somewhere before, and it is a work you made yourself without copying, do not still paste it on Steemit. This is because Steemit would flag the work as a plagiarized content and you would be penalized for it.
After joining, you would be sent a confirmation link which you must click on and confirm immediately. After you confirm your account, the next thing is the verification process. For me it took two weeks for my account to be verified while others got verified within a few days. When you get the email that you have been verified and approved, you can start writing and earning on steemit.
Another way of making money online is by participating in Facebook educative competitions. I’m talking about Skusat. Skusat is an organization that rewards students for their knowledge. Aside from the regular scholarship opportunities, almost every week, Students all over Nigeria are rewarded when they answer singular questions on the facebook page of Skusat. All you have to do is subscribe to their page, go throught it and find out when next they will set a question and make sure you’re online to answer it. Click here to subscribe to their page.
